Stories from the Lowell Firehouse

The Red Firehouse

"I've Red That!"

The Red Firehouse is more than a building.
It's a place where stories are created, shared, and brought to life.

A Piece of History

The Lowell Firehouse stands in Everett's historic Lowell neighborhood, first founded in 1863 as an independent mill town nearly 30 years before Everett existed… a place still rich with history, character, and stories waiting to be told.

This is where Brent lives. This is where Lowell the Firetruck began.

What started as a restored, decommissioned firehouse became the spark behind Red Firehouse Books. Not because it was planned that way, but because certain places become part of the story themselves.

More Than a Building

Inspired by the Lowell Firehouse, The Red Firehouse brings together books, creativity, imagination, and community.

A bench. A window. A place to sit and read.

Maybe even say, "I've Red That!"

Outside, a reading bench invites visitors to slow down, open a book, and let a story take them somewhere.

It's more than a tagline. It's an experience — a welcome, an invitation, and a place to belong.

A Place for Community

Brent and his wife of 35 years have built a life centered on family, community, and gathering. The Red Firehouse extends that spirit outward as a creative and community-centered space.

Workshops happen here. Stories are shared here. Connections are made here.

It's a working firehouse — once built to extinguish flames, now reimagined to ignite imagination.
